Inspirations: Eagles, John Denver ( don't knock JD, he had some good stuff except when he yodeled.) Alabama, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Chet Atkins ( none better ), Oak Ridge Boys, Garrison Keillor, Chuck Yeager, Mary Lou Lawson (former Northwest Cabarrus High School teacher), Ben Shue ( who always said "Be prepared and thy day will come" which he attributed to Ben Franklin), Bud and Kathleen Barrier, Toot Rogers, Wilburn Livengood, Jack Goodnight, Scott Lambert, Rick Lee (cause as long as Rick is around, I will not be the oldest rocker in North Carolina) and Jesus. Certainly not in that order. I would have to say that the one that keeps me going day to day is my lovely wife of over 20 years, Erika.
My biggest inspiration was Gordon Lightfoot who said he only knew 3 chords and everything he did was those same 3 chords rearranged. Heck, he wrote the greatest song about a ship wreck that has ever been written.
If I were marooned on a deserted island, I'd need: Recliner, Grill, Sweet Tea, Cheese Cake ( my cheesecake is best, but others I would consider ), Coffee every morning
